Virginia Lyn Spaulding
1949 – 2025 Virginia Lyn Spaulding, age 76, passed away peacefully in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Born in Kotzebue, she carried the spirit of Alaska in her heart throughout her life. Virginia earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and built a career that led her to work throughout Alaska. Virginia was also a deeply compassionate and generous soul. She gave her time freely as a volunteer and sponsor at the Alano Club, where she offered encouragement and strength to many. She was known for her love of beading, crafting, and gardening — creative pursuits that brought joy to both herself and those around her.
She is proceeded in death by her son Gilbert, dad Robert, mother Rhoda and step-mother Neville. She is survived by her son Leroy, along with extended family and dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Blanchard Family Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Birch Hill Cemetery. Virginia’s life was one of quiet strength, service, and love — a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
